Pahonia Studio · Android app · cz.shottidy.app
This Privacy Policy explains how ShotTidy (“we,” “our,” or “us”), an Android application published by Pahonia Studio (“developer”), collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the ShotTidy app (Google Play package name: cz.shottidy.app).
By installing or using ShotTidy, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we collect
ShotTidy is designed to work on your device. We do not operate backend servers that receive your screenshots or personal profile data.
Depending on the features you enable and the permissions you grant, the app may process the following information locally on your phone or tablet:
Photos and screenshots
- Image files identified as screenshots in your device storage (via Android MediaStore and, if you choose, a Screenshots folder you select in the system folder picker).
- Related metadata such as file name, size, date added, and MediaStore identifiers needed to open or manage those files.
App activity and preferences (stored on device)
- Whether you reviewed, protected, snoozed, or scheduled deletion for a screenshot.
- Automation rules you create (conditions, actions, schedules).
- Monitoring mode (instant or digest), notification preferences, and language setting.
- The folder location (URI) you authorized for Bin/Protected features, if used.
Device and system information (limited, on device)
- Information required for the app to function on your Android version (for example, which storage permission model applies).
- Technical state used for background tasks (for example, last scan time, review queue identifiers).
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number through the app unless you choose to contact us (see Contact below).
Permissions
To provide its features, ShotTidy may request:
| Permission | Why it is used |
|---|---|
Photos / images (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, or legacy storage read on older Android versions) |
Find, display, move, protect, and delete screenshots you manage |
Selected photos access (READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED, Android 14+) |
Access only the images you select, when applicable |
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) |
Optional alerts for new screenshots or review reminders |
| Folder access (system document picker) | Optional Bin/Protected folders under your Screenshots directory |
| Boot completed | Restart scheduled background tasks after device reboot, if monitoring is enabled |
| Foreground service | Reliable screenshot monitoring while you have enabled that feature |
You can deny or revoke permissions in Android Settings; some features will not work without the relevant permission.
How we use your information
We use the information described above only to:
- Show screenshots in the app and let you review, organize, protect, move, or delete them according to your actions and rules.
- Run automation rules and scheduled cleanup you configure.
- Send local notifications on your device when you allow notifications.
- Remember your settings between sessions.
- Improve stability of on-device background tasks (maintenance and monitoring workers).
We do not use your data for advertising. The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not share your screenshot content or app data with the developer over the internet, because ShotTidy does not upload that data to our servers.
Information may still be accessible to:
- You, on your device.
- Android and Google services according to your device settings (for example, backup, Google Photos, or other apps you grant storage access to).
- Law enforcement or regulators only if we are legally required to provide information we actually hold (the app stores data on your device; we do not receive it remotely).
Data retention and deletion
- On-device app data (rules, review state, preferences) is kept until you clear app storage, uninstall ShotTidy, or change/delete it through the app.
- Screenshot files remain on your device until you delete them through ShotTidy, another app, or the system gallery. Deletion behavior depends on your actions and Android permissions.
- Uninstalling ShotTidy removes app-private data from your device. It does not automatically delete image files in your gallery unless you already deleted them through the app.
To remove data, you can: turn off monitoring, clear app data in Android Settings, revoke permissions, or uninstall the app.
Security
We rely on Android’s permission system and scoped storage. Sensitive operations require your approval. The app is built to avoid logging full file paths or content URIs in production releases.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; you are responsible for securing your device (screen lock, backups, etc.).
Children’s privacy
ShotTidy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
International users
ShotTidy processes data on your device where you use it. We do not intentionally transfer your screenshot data to developer-controlled servers in other countries.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because ShotTidy stores data locally on your device, you can exercise many choices directly in the app or in Android Settings (permissions, app data, uninstall).
Updates to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our practices. We will update the Effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShotTidy after changes means you accept the updated policy.
For significant changes, we may also notify you through the app or the Google Play store listing when appropriate.
